  • Research within the Aerospace Engineering Department is categorized into four main areas: Aerodynamics, Combustion & Propulsion, Guidance & Control, and Structures & Materials.
  • Interviews for admission to the graduate research program in the Aerospace Engineering Department are conducted in the following streams: (a) Aerodynamics, (b) Combustion & Propulsion, (c) Guidance & Control, and (d) Structures & Materials For more information on these research areas, please visit here.
  • Candidates are required to select one of the aforementioned streams for their interview.
  • The interview questions will pertain to the chosen stream. For example, if a candidate selects the Aerodynamics stream, the interview questions will cover topics such as Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Gas Dynamics, CFD, etc. Additionally, there will usually be questions from mathematical subjects such as Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, etc., which are common to all streams.
  • Candidates are advised against contacting any AE faculty regarding admission results, selection criteria, or expressing interest in working with specific faculty members. Any such actions will be considered as canvassing and will result in disqualification.
