Research >> Smart & Adaptive Systems

Research in this area in our group aims to review engineering structural design approaches and also natural/biological structural evolutions and develop schemes of integrating and evaluating system level behavior involving materials, sensing, actuation and control functions. Engineering of structural systems with sensors and actuators for health monitoring and diagnostics are of interest. In the natural/bio-systems area, design with sensing, signal processing, diagnostics and therapeutics in biomaterials, diagnostic devices and large-scale monitoring/exploration of natural/biological processes are of interests.
