This is a data center which houses various computer clusters, servers and lab members working on computationally intensive problems.

Structural Health Monitoring Systems Lab

The SHM lab hosts state of the art facilities including a 3D laser Doppler Vibrometer and other instruments for structural health monitoring system design, analysis, and various hardware, software, sensor and actuator integration and system level deployment studies.

Material Testing Facility

Material testing facility is located in the NDT lab. This facility houses several mechanical testing machine to study deformation, fracture and fatigue at room temperature and elevated temperature. This facility is extensively used across various research groups in the Aerospace Engineering Department

The gas jet erosion tester is used to impinge test samples with controlled flux of erodent. The test system is versatile and allow users to control impingement angle, impingement velocity, erodent flux and temperature.

This facility houses a large autoclave to make fabric based composite structural components and hot press.

The facility also includes a test-bed for sensor data gathering from large structural components undergoing progressive damage. The data generated from the test-bed can be used in structural system identification, finite element model verification and validation.

The facility also houses a various arrangement for fabric lay-up and vacuum assisted curing of epoxy resin based thermo-set composite structural components. This facility is used by research groups across the Aerospace Engineering Department.
